Sometimes during the year we have school weeks that are shortened for holidays or staff development days. During these weeks we may have a special schedule to make sure we have an equal number of Odd and Even Block days.

HEALTH AND SAFETY

Our goal at the Kingdom is to create a culture of “Royal Family” where all students feel welcomed, supported, safe, and inspired to reach their fullest potential. To assist us in that effort, please

  • Become familiar with our student handbook.

  • Complete the self-screen below every day before entering campus.

COVID Protocols

  • All parents/guardians must screen students before leaving the house (see graphic below).
  • Students must wear masks indoors, regardless of vaccination status.
  • Students may take off masks indoors to eat or drink.
  • Masks are recommended outdoors, but not mandatory.
  • Visitors will not be allowed on campus. To the extent possible, meetings with counselors and teachers we be done via Zoom.
  • If the school learns that a student is considered a close contact* the health clerk, nurse, administrative assistant, or administrator will be reaching out to the parent/guardian as soon as possible.

Close Contact - Someone who is within 6 feet of an infected person for 15 minutes or more over a 24-hour period. This is true whether or not the individuals are wearing a mask.

Tutoring Services Available

Beginning tomorrow, October 6th, tutoring sessions will be open at lunch and after school. Sessions will be facilitated by upperclassmen tutors from National Honor Society and Math Honor Society.


Sessions are held at lunch and after school

Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays in the RHS Library (Room 2-2)

ATHLETIC TRYOUTS

Boys tennis- tryouts will take place every Monday and Wednesday in November during 7th period. No experience is necessary. Please email Coach Hixon with any questions.


Track and Field- There is an informational meeting Wednesday Nov. 17 during 7th period in the stadium.

Tryouts will take place in the stadium the week after Thanksgiving. Email the coaches for more information royal.track.field@gmail.com

Please consider supporting your Royal High School PTA by joining the PTSA for only a $7.00 fee.

Your membership dues help the many programs offered at the school such as Reflections, Every 15 mins, Distracted Driver, Scholarship Awards, and the Senior BBQ among others.

As a member you have a voice and vote at all PTSA Association meetings, you can advocate for students and teachers at the state level, and it also provides college scholarship opportunities for eligible students (qualifications include a 2-year membership.)

Membership DOES NOT require you to volunteer, but volunteers are welcome.

Juniata College is a small, private liberal arts institution located in Huntingdon, Pennsylvania, about midway between Pittsburgh and the state capital of Harrisburg.
