Financial Aid Meeting and Updates
Monday, March 6th at 6:00 p.m. at CFHS
The CFHS Counseling office has invited Abby Martin, a representative from the Iowa College Access Network (ICAN), to provide a free presentation on financial aid for Juniors and their parents on Monday, March 6th at 6:00 p.m. at CFHS. Sophomores and their parents may also want to join us to be prepared.

- Understanding Costs – College Comparisons

About ICAN
The Iowa College Access Network is a nonprofit educational organization. ICAN is the College Access Network for Iowa and a National College Access Network (NCAN) member. ICAN has 10 Student Success Centers in Ankeny, Cedar Rapids/Hiawatha, Coralville, Council Bluffs, Davenport, Des Moines, Orange City, Sioux City, and Waterloo, which provide information and support to students and their families as they plan their postsecondary education and apply for financial aid. www.ICANsucceed.org 2023-24 Scheduling and Registration Update
The CF School Counselors presented to all sophomores and juniors information about scheduling and registration for 2023-24. Students were asked to put their course requests in Power School by February 17th. The school counselors will start individual meetings with their students on February 22nd. At this meeting, the course request will be confirmed with a credit check also done. After the meeting, students will bring home a sheet with their requests and ask parents to sign and return it to the counseling office by March 10th. Student can always see what courses they signed up for on their Power School portal by looking at the Class Registration page.
ICR Future Career and College Fair
Students of all ages are encouraged to participate in the annual ICR Future Career and College Fair. Whether you're a freshman or sophomore just starting to explore career options, or a junior narrowing your list of college choices, the ICR Future Career and College Fair is the perfect opportunity to gather knowledge, make connections, and begin to make informed decisions about your future.
