Application Deadlines
Application deadlines to four year colleges and universities are coming up soon! Some end as soon as Feb 1st, and some may go into March. After the application window closes, no more applications will be accepted. Important reminder: Community colleges are on rolling admissions, which means that you can apply any time of year, and start the next term. Your FAFSA should also be done as soon as possible if you haven't submitted it already! If you still need assistance with your applications or your FAFSA, please let us know right away! We are here to help you! And if we can't find a way to help you, we will find the appropriate person(s) who can!
Scholarships
Be sure to keep researching scholarship opportunities! We will email all local scholarship opportunities as they come in to our office! The national, state and local scholarship databases are also available to you - I have emailed them out and they are posted on the WSHS website under the Counseling Department!

Student Award Letters - Coming Soon!
Sometime in early to mid-spring, you should receive Student Award information from each of the colleges that you have applied to and have been admitted. These are either found in your student portals digitally, or they can also be mailed to your home. This information is very important - as it details how much it will cost a year to attend, how much grant money or scholarship money you may be receiving, student loan information, and then at the very end how much money is left over that you may have to pay to attend. If you need help interpreting this, please let us know. We suggest taking all the letters and seeing which school is offering you the very best deal financially so that you can make the best decision for you and your family!
