When john adams was a young boy he spent to a public latin school and was taught by two private tutors. Despite Adams simple rural background, his parents believed strongly in the importance of formal education and decided that their son should go to Harvard college. Graduated from Harvard in 1755.

John Adams Studied law and admitted to the bar he also graduated from Harvard College. He married Abigail Smith on October 25, 1764. They had 5 children. His son, John Quincy Adams, was destined to become the 6th President of America.
Accomplishment
John Adams is many and all are worth noting in the context of American Independence and the early years of the nation. John Adams' greatest accomplishments include becoming the first Vice President and the second President of the United States as well as establishing many of the basic ideas and principles that made up the U.S. Constitution.
