Weekly Update for Parents
Week ending 10/1/2021
Update from Mrs. Weber
It was so nice to see all of you at Back to School night-thank you for taking the time out of your day to come to school and hear about the program here. Kudos to the staff here for putting on a great evening.
Please be sure if you send your student to school wearing rain boots (or snow boots if that weather comes to pass) , you send in a change of shoes. Those types of boots are very warm to keep on all day and dangerous if the weather clears up enough to go outside. Thanks for your help with this!
Congratulations to Mrs. Brown's class on winning the "Golden Spatula" award! They had the most points earned for great cafeteria behaviors. For the next 2 weeks they will be able to get into line first in the cafe and enjoy a few extra minutes of recess. WAY TO GO! The next winners will be announced on 10/15.
Please help to keep our children safe. I ask you to be mindful of your speed in the parking lot-you never know when someone will unexpectedly cross. Pedestrians and buses always have the right of way-especially in the crosswalk. If a staff member (we are the ones in the bright safety vests) reminds you of expectations, please do not yell or swear. We are only working in the interest of safety. I appreciate all your help and cooperation.
Parents should not be parking in any spots labeled "Reserve" at morning drop off--those are for staff only. You can always use the grass to park but the reserved spots are for our staff members. Open spots in the afternoon can be used.
Student cell phones and smart watches must remain in backpacks in the off position during the school day. Please refer to the newsletters below about procedures/policy expectations for this school year as well as our back to school spirit days.
Please note that we are a completely nut free school for breakfast, lunch and snack. Students will not be allowed to eat any food with nuts that may be sent in. Thank you for your cooperation to keep everyone safe and healthy! The school menus are attached below.
