Marine Biologist: a person who studies organisms in the ocean (salt water) or other marine or brackish bodies of water.

Training/Education Needed

Lots of biology; basic understanding of science in general (Physics/Chemistry), anmd math (At least calculus) also computer and technical skills.

Salary

With the average Ph.D marine biologists make anywhere from $45,000 to $65,000. Full professsors make from $65,000 to $100,000.
