The greek connection.

Nike is a company well known as a worldwide marketing and selling of athletic footwear, clothing, equipment, accessories and service. It connects with the greek mythology of the goddess Nike because the goddess represents victory and since the company sales athletic equipment for athletes, it reminds people of the victory that Nike had in the Titan War and it makes the athletes want victory too.

The Goddess Nike

The company Nike got its name from the Nike goddess. Nike was a goddess who represented victory, also knows as Winged Goddess of Victory. She was the daughter of the Titan Pallas and the goddess Styx and the sister of Kratos, Bia, and Zelus, which is strength, force, and zeal. Nike and her siblings were close friends of Zeus and Styx brought them to the god when he was putting together allies for the Titan War against older deities and Nike was appointed his charioteer, which is some type of carriage pulled by a horse used at “battle taxis” in the battlefields. She fought against the Titans on the side of the Olympians even if she was half titan because of her father Pallas. Driving through battles in her chariot she because well known with victory. She looks like a young woman with a blade and large wings carrying a wreath of of Laurel leaves, or a bay of leaves that symbolizes glory and fame.
