Thousand Oaks Neighborhood News

Spring 2019

Greetings!

Welcome to the Spring edition of the Thousand Oaks Neighborhood Newsletter! We hope you are enjoying some warmer weather and the sight of all the beautiful blooming flowers and trees around our neighborhood!.

In this edition of the newsletter, you will receive information from our various Thousand Oaks HOA committees, community news and all the events that the Thousand Oaks HOA has coming up.

Committee Updates

Architectural Control Commiittee

To receive approval for exterior paint, fencing and any additional structural change to your property, please contact HOA.thousandoaks@gmail.com and a member of the Architectural Committee will be in touch with you. Please give the committee at least 2 business days to obtain approval. Additional information may be required.

Grounds Maintenance Committee

The Grounds Committee hired a new Grounds Maintenance Contractor. We've experienced some growing pains / learning curves and the weather hasn't cooperated as much as we'd like but we expect it to get smoothed out soon.

If you see any common areas that need to be mowed, please contact HOA.thousandoaks@gmail.com.

Irrigation and grass seed will be coming soon to the area surrounding the Tennis Courts.

The two bridges spanning the waterfalls at the Horseshoe Lake will be refurbished during the latter half of May. Signs will be posted along the trails. The plan is to have the bridges closed for one week during this project, weather permitting. If you have any questions, or would like to lend a hand during the process, please call 303-324-5678.

SCHEDULE

May 24-26: Removal of old decking and painting of substructure (Bridges will close)

June 1-2: Replacement of bridge decking (Bridges will reopen when decking is replaced)

The Garden Club will be planting shrubs near the memorial bench and a mulch path will be installed from the concrete trail down to the memorial bench.

Pool/Tennis Courts//Playground/Clubhouse Committee

New lounge chairs have been ordered for the Otters Pool.

The foundation has been stabilized and a new surface and new tile was installed in the lower portion of the Oasis Pool - the upper pool will be resurfaced to match in the Spring of 2020.

An expansion joint was added to the lower Oasis Pool Deck.

Otters and Oasis pools open Friday, May 24th.

The Clubhouse is booking up quickly for Spring/Summer events.

To make reservations or for questions about the clubhouse, please send an email to thousandoakspools@gmail.com.

Just a reminder to those who rent the Clubhouse - the air conditioning is on for the Spring/Summer season so please make sure you keep the doors closed at all times so that we aren't paying additional heating/cooling costs.
