Jackson Adcox climbs Enchanted rock in under 15 minutes

Bedford local Jackson Adcox climbed the Echo Canyon Side of Enchanted Rock in under 15 minutes on March 11th 2015. The boy is a swimmer, and credits his climb to all of his training. Even though the boy had his endurance to see him through the climb, it was not without its challenges, such as loose granite and slippery routes up Enchanted Rock. Local's backpacking trip at Colorado Bend ruined by torrential rain last week.

Local Bedford resident Jackson Adcox (see above), his father Dave, and his younger brother Caleb were going on a two day-and-night backpacking trip to Colorado Bend State Park when early Monday morning, a steady rain began to fall. The backpackers were prepared for rain, but nothing could keep them dry. Due to this, the men had to backpack out wearing packs that weighed almost 80 lbs. For more on this story, turn to page 11

Local boy to go to Russia this summer

Bedford resident Jackson Adcox (You should know him by now), applied to go to Russia on his church's mission trip this summer. Jackson will teach a LEGO class at a small private school in Vladimir (pronounced vlad-EE-mer) for 11 days this summer. For more on this story, turn to page 12
