What Branch of the Constitution does Act 1 deal with?
The legislative branch.
Qualifications + Job Expectations for Congressmen
Qualifications are that they must be 25 years of age, have been a citizen of the United States for 7 years, and be a resident of the state they represent, or for the Senate, be at least 30 years old, and be citizens of the United States for 9 years.
Meeting time of Congress
January 3rd.
Powers granted to the Legislative Branch
The power to initiate revenue bills, impeach federal officials, and elect the president in the case of a tie.
The rules of the Congress
Senators to debate at large and prevent the common majority from ending a debate.
How a Bill becomes a Law
Committees come up with bills. It can become a bill if approved by the House, the Senate, and The President. The bill is given a number. HR denotes bills that came from the House and S denotes the bills that came from the Senate.
