Teach them not to forget!
It is the job of parents, teachers and adults to teach our younger generation why we celebrate the holidays and special days that we celebrate in our country. The video below is a concise explanation of why we celebrate and who we are celebrating on Veterans Day! Share this video moment togehter and then ask some questions, like how can we thank a veteran for their sevice to us? Who are the veterans in our community?
Take a moment on November 11th to thank a veteran and look for local celebrations. In Pelham there is a Veterans Day Breakfast from 6-10 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Pelham , tickets can be bought at the door. Then at 11 a.m. there will be a Veterans Day service with the PHS band perfroming. Take a moment and teach our next genertion so they will pass it on as adults some day to thier children.
