About Malcolm's Childhood
Malcom Little (Malcom X) was born on May 19, 1925 in Omaha, Nebraska. His father, Earl Little, was a supporter of Black Nationalist. The organization prompted death threats toward the white organization, Black Legion. This caused the Littles to move twice before Malcolm was 4. Despite their attempts to escape the Black Legion, Malocolm's home in Lansing, Michigan was burnt down. Two years later, Earl Little's body was found laying across the town's trolley tracks.

In 1959, Malcolm X was featured in a weeklong t.v. special with Mike Wallace called The Hate That Hate Produced. This program reviews his emergence as one of it's most important leaders.
A Trip to Mecca.
When Malcolm took a trip to Mecca, which was life-altering for him, he got back he said he'd met "blonde-haired, blued-eyed men I could call my brothers." Back in America, Malcolm not only spoke for African-Americans, he spoke for all races.
