Turn In Those Box Tops!
FALL BOX TOPS CLASSROOM COMPETITION
Start clipping and saving if you haven’t already! The Fall Box Tops competition is starting in a few weeks! Please turn in your neatly clipped Box Tops to your child’s teacher October 5 - 22nd! The classroom that collects the most will win an ice cream party!
Join us for the Book Fair!
The fall Scholastic book fair will be held at McKinley October 27-30 (the week of parent-teacher conferences). Once again, we will hold the classroom coin competition to raise money for our classroom libraries and to provide books to kids in need. Also, look for the chance to pre-order a soft-cover edition of the soon to be released Diary of a Wimpy Kid #10 Old School. More info and highlights to come!
Every year, volunteers make this annual fundraising and literacy promoting event a big success. Volunteers help students find selections, straighten books, and help bag items among other tasks. It’s a great way to meet other parents, shopping on the job is encouraged, and the snacks are yummy! If you are interested in helping out, please contact Melissa Mann email@example.com or Beth Thuli firstname.lastname@example.org for more information. Thank you!

Labels for Education are collected and can be redeemed for a variety of things to benefit McKinley, including playground equipment like jumpropes and kickballs.
Through the ColorCycle program, dried up or unwanted markers, highlighters, and dry erase markers can be recycled and turned into fuel thanks to a partnership between Crayola and JBI Inc. All brands are accepted.
Pop tabs will be collected and donated to the Ronald McDonald House. Proceeds from recycling these tabs help fund the services offered to families through the Ronald McDonald House.
