PARK PENCIL POINT NEWSLETTER
October 12, 2023
The mission of the Chardon Local Schools is we commit to high achievement for all students.
TONIGHT!
From the Principal Desk—
Hello Hilltopper Families:
Topper Tickets are part of Park’'s PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) system and are given to students as a special recognition when they demonstrate a Topper Trait - Taking Responsibility, Offering Kindness, and Persevering. Each day, we randomly select a few Topper Ticket winners from each grade level to receive a prize! Check the newsletter each week for their names!
This week we had a special assembly to roll out some NEW additions to our PBIS program. Students enjoyed the award winning acting from our teachers to show students what expected versus unexpected behaviors look like in various areas around the building. Beginning this week, we are randomly choosing one Topper Ticket winner per grade to spin the Park Weekly Winner Wheel. The wheel is a new addition made possible by our generous PTO. Students can win prizes for themselves or for their entire class. These prizes could include things like having lunch in Mrs. Makee's office, a class popcorn or ice cream party, an extra recess for the class, a special snack and many more great incentives! Congratulations to Park’s FIRST weekly wheel winners - Dylan Stansberry, Brayden Square, and Makailey Eastwood!
We are so proud of our students! Remember, TOGETHER HILLTOPPERS CLIMB TO THE TOP! Thanks for your continued support at home!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Makee

Looking for Veterans to honor at our assembly!
Park School will be having a short assembly honoring our veterans on Friday, November 10, 2023 at 9:45am. We would like to invite parents/relatives of our students who have served in the Armed Forces to attend this program. We would ask veterans to wear their uniforms, if possible. We would like to give each veteran an opportunity to share (1-5 minutes) with our audience their years of service, area of service in the Armed Forces, and what being a veteran means to them.
*Note: We are also asking that our Boy and Girl Scouts wear their uniforms for this day.*
