Principal's Newsletter
From the Desk of Ms. Clark
October 11, 2018
Dear Parents,
As we move through this first trimester and these beautiful fall days, our school’s mission is alive in each of our classrooms. Each and every day, the teachers and the students stretch themselves to do their very best work so as to make our world a better place.
While we are so proud of our school’s strong academic programs and innovative offerings, the most important work that we do is to help our students grow spiritually and form Catholic leaders for our Church.
I am proud and honored to be a part of this mission in forming our children as persons of kindness, compassion, and generosity. Each month our students focus on a service project within their own classroom and as a school community. Listed below are acts of Christian Service have taken place in our school last month and will continue in the months ahead.
As always, I thank you for your commitment to our school and its mission! Let us make a special effort to be more aware of God’s presence in our daily lives and pray for the grace to follow Him more closely. As we journey together, let us pray for one another!
God’s blessings,
Ms. Clark
Catholic Leaders Achieving our Mission
- Our PreK students along with their 8th grade prayer buddies participated in Operation Gratitude by creating Care Packages for our servicemen and servicewomen.
- Our Kindergarten students donated canned goods to the Food Pantry in honor of Saint Vincent de Paul's Feast Day.
- Our 1st grade students and their 5th grade prayer partners are working together. Students will be donating a book of their choice to another fifth grade student at an inner city school. First grade students will be making book marks to go along with these special books.
- Our 2nd graders are writing cards and collecting items to thank the veterans for serving our country.
- Our 3rd graders and their prayer partners in 7th grade are collecting Coupons for the Troops!
- Our 4th graders are hosting a coat and hat drive for those in need.
- Our 6th grade students are sponsoring a classmate for when he walks for the "Out of the Darkness" walk-a-thon. It is a foundation that provides counseling for teen suicide.

Healthy Hands, Healthy Heart
Fall is here, and with the cool breeze comes the unfortunate cold and flu! If your child is sick, please keep him or her home. Please remind your child to always remember to wash his or her hands. Studies have proven that hand washing (next to the flu shot) is the BEST way to avoid colds and flu. A healthy diet and sleep also keep your immune system going, so be sure that your child gets plenty of rest!
Student Safety First
Please enter the morning drop-off car line with caution. The morning drop off is an express line; parents may not stop and get out of their cars. Students must exit from the PASSENGER SIDE only. Students MUST be ready to exit the car once pulling into the car line drop-off in order to eliminate back-up traffic. DO NOT DRIVE OUT OF THE CAR LINE. PLEASE WAIT FOR THE LINE TO MOVE SLOWLY TO EXIT.
If you need to bring your child into the school building, you MUST park your car in the front of the school and enter through the main school entrance. You must report to the office. No cars are permitted to park or idle in front of the school in the fire lane.
