Recipe Of The Month- Festive Pomegranate Guacamole

Try this delicious, healthy and easy holiday appetizer recipe. It's colour is even festive!


  • 2 Avocados
  • 1/2 a lemon, juiced
  • 1/4 of a red onion, diced
  • 1/4 to 1/2 of 1 pomegranates seeds
  • Dash of salt & pepper
  • Bag of rice chips


  1. Peel pomegranate and remove seeds into a bowl.
  2. In a separate bowl, add avocados, red onion, lemon and a 1/4-1/2 of the pomegranate seeds.
  3. Mix and mush together until desired consistency.
  4. Add a dash of salt and pepper to taste
  5. Dip chips and enjoy!

Giving Back to the Community

What is Wyndham House?

Wyndham House is an organization that provides young people ages 16 to 21 with the supports and services needed to overcome challenging times and difficult problems. In support of this amazing organization, the Gordon Street Chiropractic Team will be donating and collecting goods to support Wyndham House this holiday season. Items to donate include:

Food: Canned fruit, canned juice (apple), jam, peanut butter, canned veggies (no beans), pasta sauce, pasta, mac & cheese, soup, rice, treats (microwave popcorn, nuts, candy, cookies).

Clothing: Winter outerwear (mitts, hats, scarves), socks & belts both male and female

Toiletries: Deodorant, face wash, feminine hygiene products, razors, shaving cream, dental floss, conditioner, combs, hairbrushes, elastics, bobby pins etc.

Miscellaneous Items: School supplies (pens, mechanical pencils, paper, binders, markers), art supplies, journals, bike locks, blankets, pillows, DVD movies, bus tickets, gift cards: Zehrs, Shoppers, Tim Hortons etc.

So at your next visit, or if your in the area and would like to support this amazing cause, drop by and add your goods to our already overflowing bin that will be delivered to Wyndham house this Christmas season.
