Deborah Yaver, Managing Director of Novozymes, Incorporated, will present a UGA Engineering Distinguished Seminar March 8 at 4 p.m. in the auditorium of the Paul D. Coverdell Center. The topic of Dr. Yaver's seminar is "The Disruption of Industrial Biotechnology."

Christophe Darnault, a professor of engineering at Clemson University, will speak about his research as part of the UGA College of Engineering Lecture Series.

Join us for this interactive resume and cover letter presentation where you will leave with the ability to format a professional resume and cover letter, tailor a resume and cover letter to specific employers, industries, and jobs, and learn how to articulate your skills and experiences on a resume and cover letter.
Be More Than Your Major

In this session, you will learn how to:
- Identify myths that commonly hold college students back when carving a career path.
- Name the top skills that employers are looking for in college graduates.
- Explore how you will attain each of the seven competencies while you're at UGA.
Salary Negotiation
Date: March 22, 2018
Time: 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm
Location: Miller Learning Center, Room 101
This workshop will walk you through the steps of negotiating your first salary, from doing research to find your target salary to providing sample language to have this conversation with future employers. Come to this workshop as early in your job search as possible to ensure you get the first salary you deserve.
