Fourth Grade News
Week of May 23rd
Dragon Cafe
On Sunday we had our last group volunteer at the Dragon Cafe and they were great! A big shout out to all of the parents and students who spent their Sunday morning making biscuits, cracking eggs, serving food, and juice at St. George's Episcopal Church. The work that was done was important and meaningful. We are very proud of our fourth graders!
Pelican Workshop
A permission slip went home last week for the Pelican Basketball Workshop that will be held on Wednesday. In order for students to participate they MUST have their permission slip signed by a parent and turned in to their homeroom teacher tomorrow! If a student does not bring in their permission slip the will not be able to participate.
4th Grade Challenge
This week on Thursday our students will be taking the 4th Grade Challenge! Can they identify all 50 states and capitals on a map of the United States? We will see! The students will be given a word bank for the states and are expected to spell them correctly. There will not be word bank for the capitals and spelling will not be counted for those.
Tuesday May 31st
Tuesday May 31st is the last official day of school for students. It is important that they attend this day, we will be handing out portfolios, watching the fourth grade play, and watching the end of the year DVD. If you did not purchase a DVD of the fourth grade play it is not too late to purchase one, we have a few extra copies.
Paper Bags
The students will be cleaning out their desks next Tuesday and will have a few things to bring home including workbooks. If you have paper grocery bags lying around please send them to school so the students can place their things in something to carry home.
DRESS UNIFORM DAY!
This Thursday is a dress uniform day, please have your child come to school in full dress uniform. Thank you!
Last Newsletter!
This is the last official newsletter so if you have any questions please do not hesitate to email us! We have thoroughly enjoyed having your children this year. It is sad to see them go, Peggy and I have really enjoyed having two years with most of them! We hope you all have a safe and fun-filled summer, and we look forward to seeing the new middle school students this fall!
Have a great week!
Emily, Peggy, Lindsey, and Meghan
