Principal's Message
Good evening,
We've made it through another week! Woo hoo! The balance of working from home and managing a family can get intense. I hope you are all making it through! My 5 year old stuck a jelly bean up his nose yesterday, I'm embarrassed to say. Who knew that you have to essentially give your child CPR to get the jelly bean dislodged. So...dealing with that, while getting a 2 year old down for a nap, along with using my kitchen table as a work station while listening to "The Clean Up Song" or "Down by the Bay" has become the new norm. Some days are good, some days aren't the greatest. Some days I feel like I'm not doing anything right, and other days I feel like I have it together. This new norm is different, it gives perspective, and its a great reminder of how important our families are and how appreciative we are of all those who are essential workers, providing us with the things we "need" while we're at home. It's a change and we're all getting used to it. The "workday" is long, but I do enjoy being around my kids and seeing their personalities throughout the day. It's something that I don't get to see everyday, so I'm taking it all in! I hope everyone is doing well...please reach out if you need anything...
As a reminder, make sure you're following the Remote Learning Schedule listed on the district website. There are several helpful resources on the COVID-19 Resource Page as well as the Remote Learning Page.
Remember, please check the district website daily for updated information regarding COVID-19. Lunches are available for ANY 308 student. They can be picked up or delivered. Need a device to borrow? Complete the device check-out form on the COVID-19 Resource Page.
Stay healthy! We miss you!

Remote Learning
ATTENTION STUDENTS (AND PARENTS): When you are participating in Google Classroom and completing assignments, please be sure to hit "submit" or "turn in" so that your assignment is documented as complete. If you do not "submit" or "turn in", then your teacher may not know that you have completed the assignment. Remember the importance of using the Remote Learning Schedule posted on the district's Remote Learning Page to ensure you are completing assignments and assessments in a timely manner and communicating with your teachers if there is a problem. We want to ensure you are safe and healthy, first and foremost, however, your learning and engagement in Google Classroom is important as well. You can do this! You have several opportunities to bring your grades up! Keep up the good work!
COVID-19
As you know, the prevalence of Coronavirus COVID-19 is on the rise. At this time, the recommendations from IDPH include directing students and school personnel to protect themselves and others by taking every day common sense actions which include correctly washing hands, staying home when sick, and properly covering a cough. Please take a look at the links provided on the district webpage for COVID-19, as they are the official sources of information from the CDC, IDPH, ISBE, and the Kendall County Health Department.

PTO
The Murphy PTO does not do any fundraising as a PTO. Instead we ask families to make an annual donation to the PTO. These donations help us to provide classroom grants, student events, staff appreciation, community awareness and much more. Please consider making a donation. In addition, any family who donates $25 or more will receive one free ticket to the Murphy Monster Mash!
The PTO can accept credit card payments for annual donations. You can also make your family’s annual donation via SignUp Genius by clicking on this link: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/20f0445aaaa22ab9-20192020 UPDATED LINK. If you prefer to send your donation in with your student, please print out the form below and send it to school with your student.
