Raptor Reminder

Beginning April 23, all visitors will need an ID to go into the school and/or main office even if you are a regular visitor and/or volunteer. Please bring your ID if you will be visiting the school.

The safety of our students is our highest priority and the Raptor visitor management system allows us to quickly identify those that may present a danger to our students. Thank you in advance for your understanding and your support in enhancing the school safety protocols in our district.

LEA Parent Survey

Dear Parents,

Please participate in the district’s annual LEA Parent Survey by Clicking Here. The survey will take no longer than 5 minutes to complete. Last year over 2,000 parents provided feedback on various aspects of the district, and we hope to have the same fantastic participation this year!

From communication to educational programming, we value your perceptions and insights, and like last year, we will use the information gleaned from the survey to target strengths and areas of growth from a building and district perspective.

As always, we appreciate your support and look forward to receiving your critical feedback. Please participate today!!

Sincerely,

Dr. Marc Bertrando, Superintendent

Garnet Valley CTC Quick Tip #37 Mental Health Awareness

Did you know? Delaware County has a free mobile mental health emergency service. It is called the Delaware County Crisis Connections Team aka the Mobile Crisis Team. They are a 24/7 service in Delaware County that can be reached at 1-855-889-7827 for all ages. In the event of a mental health crisis or if you have a question about what would constitute a mental health crisis – make the call. A trained mental health clinician will answer your call and guide you through a process of assessing your situation, intervening as necessary, and helping you access services which could include coming to you if needed.

Call to action… So often in Garnet Valley our students alert their parents when they are concerned about a friend’s mental health. Garnet Valley is a caring community. The dilemma can occur when school is closed. Rather than wait, call the Mobile Crisis Team at 1-855-889-7827 with your concerns. They will guide you through the appropriate steps. You do not have to hold concerning information until the next morning.

Learn more about this service and other crisis prevention and intervention resources in Delaware County by clicking below.
