SEL Wednesdays
Remember on Wednesdays log into Live Social-Emotional Learning with your 3rd-period teacher at 10 am. You can locate the zoom link for your 3rd period teacher in Canvas or check with your teacher. Get connected to your peers with some virtual face to face interactions. The Wednesday classes are mandatory and are part of your weekly schedule.

ASB Fundraiser!
Drawings are taking place daily, the sooner you donate, the more chances you have to win a prize. There is a wide assortment of prizes such as: Gift Cards ranging from $5 to $50; pop sockets and fidget spinners to Wireless Earbuds and Bluetooth speakers; VIP Promotion Passes, teacher specific assignment passes, lunch with/from a teacher or administrator, and the list goes on. There will be several drawings each day!
Please see the flyer below for more information. All donations are greatly appreciated and will give us the ability to continue our Renaissance Celebrations, 8th Grade Promotion, and additional student incentives. All money raised goes directly to the students.
Please support Anacapa students by making a donation in the school office or online. Donations accepted now through October 23rd. Help us reach our goal!

The library has drop-in hours every day, just for YOU!
Wanting to browse the shelves to find a book? Email Mrs. Carr for a scheduled time!
For library book checkouts, visit the LMC page on the Anacapa website.
Students will complete their order through the Google form, and book pick-ups will take place on Friday!*

Spirit Wear for Sale
Anacapa Spirit Wear is for sale. Spirit Wear can be purchased in the office Monday-Thursday from 9am-1pm, and will be available for purchase during our Quarter 2 Distribution and Picture Day on November 4th from 11-3 & 4:30-6:30. Any questions call Mrs. Foley @ 805-289-7900 x1013.

Elementary and Middle School Choir Opportunities
We are gearing up for our all-district choirs! All choirs will begin next Tues. Oct. 13. Students from all schools, including Homestead, are invited to join. Ms. Heidi House, our District Choir Director will be conducting all of our choirs virtually for now until we are given the green light to meet in person. If you have any questions, please reach out to Heidi.house@venturausd.org.
Grades 1-5: Notables Choir
Grades 1 & 2 will be Tuesday afternoons from 2:15-2:45
Grades 3-5 will be Tuesday afternoons from 3-3:45

VUSD Update on Meal Distribution
Meals will continue to be offered on Mondays from 11:30 am-1:00 pm at ten school sites: Atlas, Montalvo, Portola, Balboa, Anacapa, Will Rogers, Ventura High, Sheridan Way, EP Foster, or Sunset. Drive-through or walk-up service is available at each of these sites. Also, we have expanded our program, and meals are free for ALL children 18 and under regardless if they are enrolled in VUSD or not.
Please note that meals will be served the week of September 28 on WEDNESDAY, September 30, from 11:30 am-1:00 pm, as Monday and Tuesday that week are non-student contact days.
Finally, starting in October, we will be offering a “warm lunch” on Mondays to take home and consume immediately with the rest of the weeks’ meals bagged for later consumption.
