BISD Portrait of a Graduate
Join us for Twitter chats in November as we take a deep dive into the BISD Portrait of a Graduate and discuss how to help our learners be FUTURE READY.
Our Moderator for Tonight's Chat - Nayzak Najm, Recent BISD Graduate and UT Austin Freshman
Nayzak Najm is an Iraqi-American freshman at UT Austin studying Biology and International Relations & Global Studies. She was a Richland High School 2016 top 10 graduate and Female Outstanding Citizen. She was an AP Scholar with Honor, Horatio Alger scholar, and UT Presidential scholar. She was a partner designer of the new BISD CTE logo and former member of NHS, NTHS, BPA, FBLA, Spanish Club, and Senior Planning Board.
Please encourage your friends to join the chat and support one of our own!
November 1 Questions
Q1: What does it mean to be future ready?
Q2: What are the skills learners will need to prepare for their future?
Q3: How do we help learners acquire the skills that can support their learning? After tonight's chat, be ready to commit to and share at least one strategy in the next week that will help the students you work with to become Future Ready.
Please take a moment to go to the blog and see the exciting things going on in BISD. Additionally, please also take time to recognize a BISD educator.

iPad & Airwatch Changes You Need to Know:
Any app that was previously downloaded from the BISD App Catalog or purchased apps that were pushed to the device automatically may be removed from the device. Any in-app data (settings within an app, iMovie project files, Explain Everything project files, etc.), will be lost if not backed up first. After the apps are removed, they can be downloaded again from the BISD App Catalog. You can expect apps that were downloaded from the BISD App Catalog or pushed to the device to disappear from the device during that week.
What do I need to do?
- Prior to November 14th, backup any in-app data in apps that were downloaded from the BISD App Catalog such as iMovie, Explain Everything, Chatterpix, Vidra, & My Storybook Maker School Edition. Most of these can be saved to the camera roll or exported to your Google Drive account.
- Open the BISD App Catalog and re-download any app that was removed from the device.
