LOST and FOUND

ARE YOU MISSING SOMETHING?

Are you missing a water bottle, lunchbox, sweater, or even a pair of shoes? Then check the BJH Lost and Found in front of the library. Items left unclaimed will be donated to the HEBISD Clothes Closet, other items to the Mission Central Coat of Many Colors after Thanksgiving Break.

READING CLASSES SNEAKER CONTEST

Big picture
Mrs. Marcaccio's and Mrs. Lopez's classes read a nonfiction article and interview about the evolution of the sneaker. After reading, students created a one pager that included nonfiction analysis as well as an original sneaker design. Students then voted on the top sneaker designs for each class, and ultimately, the top winners overall. Great job with your sneaker designs, everyone!

ATHLETICS THIS WEEK

FRESHMAN GIRLS BASKETBALL

Our freshman girls basketball team took on a tough Flower Mound team Tuesday night at Bell. Flower Mound started out strong with several points in the paint and in transition, but our girls made adjustments and started a comeback in the 4th quarter with some aggressive moves by Zoey Herring and Addy Williams in the paint. We fell short in the end but laid a foundation to build on for the rest of the season.

8TH GRADE VOLLEYBALL

Congratulations to the 8th grade team 1 Volleyball for finishing out their season strong! Last Friday they defeated Hurst in the first round of the Sweet Sixteen District Tournament in two straight sets. On Saturday they continued to play at a high level and gave undefeated Colleyville their first set loss of their season despite losing to the eventual champions. In the 3rd place game, the Broncos refocused and played great, winning 3rd place out of 16 teams and only losing to the eventual Champions the entire season! Congratulations to MuRae Horn, Jenna Fuchs, Natalie Roach, Sara Thapa-Magar, Kenslee Turner, Hailee Blocker-Smith, Olivia Delgado, Mia Sebastian, Christa Lopez, Serenity Williams, Jazz Williams and Captains Reagan Ingram and Talia Solia-Tui on fantastic seasons filled with individual and collective improvement. This team finished the regular season 8-1, beat every team that they lost to in 7th grade, were Tournament Champions, HEB District Champions and 3rd place overall out of 16 Teams in the Sweet Sixteen District. What an outstanding season!

Way to go 8th grade Lady Broncos Volleyball!

7TH GRADE VOLLEYBALL

Over the weekend, the 7th grade A team finished up a fantastic season. The girls finished 5th in our Sweet 16 district regular season with a 6 - 3 record, including being HEB champs! A huge shoutout to how hard the girls worked this season & the way they represented BJH! Great job to Reagan Bennet, Valentina Betacourt, Gabby Bowens, Ellie Bragg, Sariyah Crater, Emlyn Dibble, Reagan Dodd, Kynlee Horn, Maddy Martinak, Brooklyn Morgan, London Morgan, Sydney Pietzsch, & Jillian Smith.
