Mrs. Drudy's Remote Learning
April 14, 2020
A Note to Parents
Dear home-bound families,
For our e-Learning Days, more appropriately called Remote Learning Days, we will be asking students to complete at-home assignments Tues. - Thurs. for the next five weeks. We will be implementing Mondays and Fridays as waiver days, which have been granted by the State of Indiana, for those same weeks. Keep in mind that, even though some of you picked up paper packets yesterday, today is Day #1, and these are the activities that correspond to Day #1.
We want our students to enjoy the learning process and keep things as stress-free as possible as they meet the various learning objectives. The goal is to provide meaningful independent activities for students to continue their learning at home. I have created a daily agenda for students to use where occasionally they are allowed to select the activities they would like to complete. You will notice that Reading, English/Language Arts (L.A.) and Math lessons are required. However, there is also a Science, Social Studies, and/or Emotional Social Learning activity each day that is totally OPTIONAL. You will see that in the area of math, there are choices given for the day. Digital and/or non-electronic work are acceptable, but please make sure your student chooses appropriately. Each student must complete Reading, LA, and Math each day.
A parent signature is required for participation in these Remote Learning days. At the end of the week, please stagger/stack the three signed Tue-Th sheets, snap a picture with your phone, and send it to me via e-mail. I am reposting a picture of a good way to do this.
I only need the ONE picture at the end of the week.
I do not need photos of each individual assignment.
Just as you’ve been through all of this, I am totally flexible. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me via e-mail. I am more than happy to assist in any way I can. I can be reached at the following:
I thank you for sharing this unexpected role with me during this trying time.
Fondly,
Mrs. Drudy

Frindle is one of the books that is in your Open Books library account that I created for you, so you can read along on your device if you'd like. After each reading there are optional activities to complete. You may download these recording sheets below.
