Notes from Coach Kim

Happy Fall Break! Last week JH Softball had their first 2 games of the season and let me tell you, they are very fun to watch! JH Boys' Basketball had tryouts the beginning of last week and we had over 70 athletes battle for 24 IS spots. Congratulations to all athletes on their team assignments! I hope everyone has a great fall break this week and I look forward to resuming games next week!

JH Girls' Basketball registration will open on October 17th and will close on November 21st. If you don't have a physical for your daughter, get it sooner than later! The season will start November 28th.

JH Boys' Basketball

JH Boys' Basketball is underway! They will get plenty of practice in before their first game on October 18th, a luxury not many teams have (thank you fall break)! We are so excited to see this year's teams in action!

JH Girls' Softball

JH Girls' Softball had a great season opener against Mountain Ridge MS last Wednesday. Fast-pitch had hot bats and great pitching and won the game 9-0. Slow-pitch lead the entire game until crunch time. They ended up losing 4-6 but played very well as a team!

Last Thursday, both teams took on Elizabeth MS. Fast-pitch lost a heartbreaker but showed they can compete with the best! We should have a great league tournament at the end of the season! Slow-pitch also lost to Elizabeth but continued to grow as a team.
