The Weekly Hoot
April 27-May 3, 2015
Greetings All -
I hear ya'll are having a very eventful Friday!! I wasn't planning on being out today, but yesterday during my appointment with my oncologist, she informed me there were a couple of suspicious areas in my liver that needed an MRI. We did that yesterday at 5:30 and I had to wait until a phone call about 12 today to find out that ALL IS CLEAR!! The little nodule in my lung is the same size as in October. If it was cancer, it would have grown. The spots on my liver actually are dense areas in my "fatty liver." That is what the MRI says..."fatty infusion of the liver." I mean SERIOUSLY??? It's not bad enough that the outside of my body needs to lose some weight. Now one of my vital organs is overweight too??? I can't catch a break! :) Anyway, all is good, and I will see you all on Monday.
I am so glad that we are finished with testing! I know all of you are as well. Please keep your regular teaching routine in place as Connie mentioned in her "Tip of the Week." It definitely helps with discipline issues. Also, it seems that we are having some problems not necessarily in the classroom, but in unstructured areas and time. Please make sure you are in the halls during rotations and up and walking during recess. Connie and I are finished writing the summatives now so I will try and be more visible in these places and the cafeteria as well.
Lastly, I wanted you to know what Ms. Goolsby had to say about ya'll today. I sent her a text message to let her know everything and her words were: "Your staff has handled themselves with such composure in your absence today. Especially Amberly. She served you well while you have been out." My words to her were: "I know it. They always do. I am one blessed gal!"
Have a great weekend everyone!
Love to all,
Marcy
