Hello Parents and Guardians:

With summer beginning to be in sight, we have closed our Summer Academy registration and we have a very positive turnout. Look for more information in the future.

Items to note:

-As usual, with any hot weather, we will monitor the heat index, for students when it comes to outside activity.

-There is no school for students on Friday, June 18.

-Students will receive ice cream from our PTO in school on Monday, June 21. Thank you to our PTO!

-Report Cards and Supply Lists will go home with students on the last (half) day of school.

-If you have a hotspot and are NOT a remote learner, please return the item to our school.

A huge THANK YOU to Tyler McClure for donating soil for our garden project with Cornell Cooperative. I also want to thank Dan Daigle and our buildings and grounds for making this happen for our school!

National Flag Day is Monday, June 14. We will honor this day as a school at our PBIS Ceremony this week on Thursday, June 17.

As always, feel free to reach out with any questions. Stay well!

Sincerely,

Paul

  • Given the timing of the absent notification (i.e. child is sick that particular day), the teacher may or may not be able to send you the paper activities that support the lessons until a later time as they will be in the middle of instruction or preparing for it.
  • If your child is in a situation where remote learning pertains to them, has internet capability, and is not logged onto the teacher's Google Classroom physically at their specified time(s)-they are marked absent.

Remote Learners:

  • Please have materials picked up and returned upon their due dates to ensure timely feedback.

COVID Repeated General Announcements:

Emergency Activity Lessons/packet GRADES UPK-2: In the event of a brief (24-48 hour) closure, an emergency hard copy packet was sent home with your child at the start of the school year with an attached letter explaining this process. These activities arranged by grade level are now also posted on our MJT Webpage for easy access. You may have received updated materials from the classroom teacher. These activities are only for a 24-48 hour closure. After this duration, we will activate our Chromebook deployment and each child will receive their Closure Class Schedule from their teacher for full online/remote learning. Faculty and Staff will be checking in with you and your child during this time.

GRADE 3: In the event of a brief (24-48 hour) closure, grade 3 will use the full remote schedule that was sent to families by their respective teachers. This is due to students traveling with Chromebooks each day.

In some cases, the re-closure work below has been updated by your child's teacher and you have been notified. Please check the Website.
