Need to be Responsible, In and Around

Hello Mustangs!

Though it was a short week it was not short on PBIS student nominees! We had 55 student nominations and 28 teachers nominated for doing great things this week! That is outstanding for week one! Mr. O’shaughnessy was so excited to see the nominations flowing in, as was Mrs. Gomez and I. The winner of the student drawing will receive a gift card courtesy of the AMS PTO! Thanks to the PTO for supporting our students and staff!

Below you will see information on our upcoming Curriculum Night. At the beginning of the letter will be a blue link to click on. This link will be a short video welcoming parents and students to curriculum night and explaining how the night will be conducted. Please make sure to review the letter and video before the Curriculum night so you are prepared to virtually attend your student’s classes.

Have a great weekend Mustangs!

With Avondale Pride,

Jason Ohrt

Curriculum Night-Tuesday, September 15, 2020

Below is Curriculum Night Information:

Welcome to Avondale Middle School’s Curriculum Night (Click on link for intro video) Tuesday September 15th, 2020 from 6:30-8:30 pm. In preparation for Curriculum Night, it might be beneficial to understand the purpose of the evening. Parents and guardians will have an opportunity to meet their child’s teachers for this school year. Parents and guardians will sit in their child’s virtual classroom to get a brief overview of the classroom schedule and logistics, the academic topics to be covered, the instructional programs used to facilitate learning and have a quick virtual face to face with your child’s teacher.

In addition we will be hosting a virtual “Main Office Link” (posted below) if you are having a difficult time connecting to a zoom meeting or would like to set up a meeting for a specific question regarding your student.
