The students of the 21st Century present a unique challenge to all educators. Traditional instruction is not always effective, and teachers often find themselves frustrated and seeking better methodologies to reach all types of learners. This workshop will provide easy to implement classroom strategies designed to help motivate, engage and differentiate instruction for all students.
During the session Judy will address understanding:
- Utilize instructional strategies that support student and teacher academic engagement
- Understand what it will take to support students that resist memorization, academically rigorous tasks, and learning in general

About the Facilitator
Judy is the author of nine books designed to assist teachers with instructional practices and is a regular presenter for the National Association of Secondary School Principals and Missouri Association of Secondary School Principals. She is the lead trainer for the Ed Leaders Network on Restorative Practices and Classroom Management and has developed a series of interactive video training programs with the Illinois Principals Association on this topic. Judy’s understanding of academic engagement and restorative practices, as well her practical and pragmatic approach for supporting student behavior in a manner that protects everyone’s dignity, is recognized by educators throughout the United States.
