Free dress guidelines
HMS provides many dress down or jeans days in order to celebrate different Husky triumphs. Unfortunately, we are having many issues with students not following the guidelines.
In order to continue with these days of celebration, we ask students and parents to review the dress down guidelines which have been attached above.
We appreciate our students and want to continue to celebrate with the free dress days. Please help us so that we may continue to do so for our students and staff.
CTE Showcase
Burleson ISD Parents and Guardians of 8th Grade Students,
This month your child will be attending the Burleson ISD Career and Technical Education (CTE) Showcase at the high school campuses. The event is designed to provide high school CTE course information for 8th grade students as they prepare to make the transition from middle school to high school.
This year’s showcase events will take place during the school day at Burleson High School on November 14, 2017, for Hughes and STEAM Middle School 8th grade students and at Centennial High School on November 16, 2017, for Kerr and STEAM Middle School 8th grade students. On these dates, 8th grade students will travel via school transportation to the designated high school campus for a preview of CTE programs and courses offered in Burleson ISD. At both of these events teachers and high school students representing all of the Burleson ISD CTE and Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (JROTC) programs will be on hand to present important information that can be used by your student in making course selections for their freshman year of high school.
Map Testing
The link below is a letter for parents which explains how students are tested, as well as how teachers will use this information.
Students will test in January and April so that teachers can receive data on student growth.
