The Buzz at Westbrook School
February 17, 2023
From the Principal...
Dear Westbrook Families,
We had an engaging spirit week at Westbrook where we celebrated kindness. Thank you so much to the kindness club for creating signs and themes for each day of the week. Please see this video for an overview of our kindness club program. I was thrilled to spotlight our kindness club sponsors at last night's Board of Education meeting. Thank you Elena Coughlin (literacy teacher), Kara McCarthy (literacy teacher), and Lisa Ryno (social worker) for all of their hard work organizing this club to spread kindness throughout Westbrook and our community.
Students enjoyed delivering their Valentine's day cards this week at school. The PTO surprised students and staff with Valentine's decorations on classroom doors and hallways. It was a special day!
The second trimester ends today. First-grade and kindergarten students will receive report cards on Friday, February 24th.
There is no school on Monday, February 20th for Presidents Day. I hope you enjoy your long weekend. We look forward to having our students back on Tuesday, February 21st.
For your children,
Danielle Crandall

Please ensure you use the crosswalk in the parking lot walking to and from Westbrook.
Please do not walk between the buses. Staff members will be in front of the school each morning, reminding families to only cross at the crosswalk.
Please do not bring dogs or animals onto school property. Many of our students are frightened of dogs.
