From the Principal's Pen
March 11, 2022
The calendar is filling up quickly so get ready to join in some community fun in the next few months. Pay close attention to the PTA JC Weekly news for upcoming events. During the school day we have the following happening in March.
On March 16th we will be hosting the kindergarten parents of 2022-2023 kindergarten students in person. We look forward to holding an in person presentation.
On March 25th we will hold virtual Parent/Teacher Conferences. If you did not schedule a conference yet please contact your child's teacher.
On March 30th the JC Preschool class will be in full swing. Please join me in welcoming Danielle Szanto as the Head Teacher for our program. Ms. Szanto worked in the GPS preschools for several years as a professional assistant and is returning from Stamford as a certified preschool teacher. She will be assisted by Catherine Stambaugh, new to the Greenwich Public Schools. Maria Alfa who has worked across GPS preschools will serve as the Speech and Language teacher. We look forward to welcoming our new staff members and new little people soon!
On March 30th the students will enjoy a Bash the Trash assembly at the generosity of our PTA. The school assembly will include science, music and the environment. Fast, funny and full of crazy instruments made from recycled and reused stuff, amazing science demos, and fun music, this school assembly will inspire our students to explore the connections between art and science!
Have a wonderful weekend!
Mrs. Trish McGuire and Mr. Matthew Hartigan
