Tides and there importance
What are tides:
Tides: Tides are the gravitational pull of the sun and the moon on the Earth, which causes the water level to change in level
High tide and Low tide
LOW TIDES: Low tides are when the water level changes due to the position of the earth. the different gravitational, pulls the water causing different heights. In this circumstance the tide would be low in a certain area because the position of the earth.
HIGH TIDES
HIGH TIDE: Unlike low tides the water levels with high tide rise rather than fall. The area in which the high tide is, will be closer to the moon.
Animals which rely on tides
Racoons
Racoons relie on the low tide to dig up there food sorce, this can be either, crabs, crayfish or anything with seems small enough for them to eat.
caribbean Flamingos
The flamigos rely on the strong low tides to give them food and a home. The low tides enable the flamingos to make nests were they can support there young. The
sting ray
When the tide gets low the stingray is forced into the deeper waters were they wait for the tide to change, when the tide changes they then swim back into higher tides. Many rays have jaw teeth to enable them to crush mollusks such as clams, oysters, and mussels.
