Introducing Your Local Support Team
Drum roll please... :)
Every child is uniquely and wonderfully made, and their education should be as well! Classical Conversations exists to assist parents in educating their children.
Our Support Representatives (SR) partner with our local directors, and our directors walk alongside the families in their community. So, it's with great joy that I welcome our new 2016 team!!! They are an A-M-A-Z-I-N-G group of servant leaders. Please take a moment to "meet" our new support team and thank you, in advance, for your enthusiasm and prayers.
Here to Serve,
Monica Aviles
S. PBC & Broward Area Representative
Anastasia Rhodes
Anastasia was drawn to Classical Conversations six years ago because it is an academically rigorous, Christ-centered, multi-aged program that follows the age-old classical model. Through CC her children are learning how to ask quality questions, reach unique conclusions, and express individual thoughts with confidence and wisdom. As a Support Representative in the Boca Raton/Boynton area, Anastasia will work with communities to maintain the integrity of the programs. She will help directors equip parents to educate their children through high school and encourage families as they seek to train their children in the way they should go.
Laini Ibrahim
Having been educated in the public school system, Laini dreamed of giving her kids something better. What she found in Classical Conversations was a strong Christian education that offered the same high standard and familiarity wherever they might go. That was in 2010. Since then, with that continuously renewed confidence, she has been able to enjoy life loving and learning with her kids in CC. She would love to pay it forward by helping other parents learn about about homeschooling with CC by connecting community families with people who are looking for different educational options.
Rachel Thompson
After hearing about Classical Conversations in the summer 2009, Rachel Thompson became fascinated with the idea of coming alongside other families one day a week to homeschool together. Little did she know that this 'one day a week' program would become her network of family friends educating and encouraging one another. Claiming God's promise that He will both go before and behind His children, her family rejoiced in educating together, side by side, with like minded families. Rachel eagerly assists, equips, and weaves families together on their homeschooling journey in South Florida.
Lysandra Russell
Home educating three children of her own age 18, 13 and 6, Lysandra Russell understands the value of teaching classically and yielding to the a model designed by God. Graduating a high school student through Classical Conversations has been a privilege. It is a front row seat to watching a liberated mind grow, flourish and stand firm in all things. Her senior has been honored and met where she is at, traveled to other parts of the world through the dual enrollment opportunities offered by CC + and challenged in her academics and faith in a healthy way. Lysandra is committed to continuing the grassroots movement of planting Classical Conversations communities in Central Broward.
Jeannie Buondelmonte
In 2006 Jeannie and her husband prayerfully considered home educating their children. She questioned her qualifications to home educate using a top-notch, Christ Centered approach. It was then that a dear friend introduced her to a Classical Conversations Community. There, Jeannie discovered the equipping, support and vision to homeschool through highschool that she was looking for. Fast forward ten years and Jeannie continues to love her homeschool journey with Classical Conversations. Her passion is to build relationships and mentor families.
Tammy Donley
“I will never homeschool my children," former educator and mother of three, Tammy Donley had often said. However, plans changed after the birth of her third child. While modern education is more concerned about WHAT a child is going to be, Tammy is more concerned with WHO her children are going to be. In her Classical Conversations community, she has found a place to nurture a love of learning in her family and place to stand along side other homeschooling families, as they walk together. So, if you’re ready to link arms with her and join in on this journey, please contact her and have a conversation!
"To Know God and Make Him Known."
