The Qin Dynasty Vs Zhou Dynasty

The Qin Dynasty lasted from 221-207 B.C. . In 221 B.C. After years of fighting with the Zhou Dynasty, the Qin Dynasty finally overthrew the dynasty and the remaining members in 221 B.C. After they overthrew the Zhou dynasty, Qin's successor was killed by assassins. The Qin Dynasty was unified when they overthrew the Zhou Dynasty. Qin Shihuangdi died shortly after the Qin dynasty was unified.

The Life Of Qin Shihuangdi

Ying Zheng was born in 259 B.C. Ying Zheng was the founder of the Qin Dynasty and changed his name to Qin Shihuangdi. Qin Shihuangdi was emperor 221 B.C. to 210 B.C. and had a very strong empire. In 210 B.C. Ying died looking for a potion to be immortal. After Qin died, Han became emperor and changed the name Qin Dynasty to Han dynasty.

Legalism And The Qin Dynasty

The Qin Dynasty believed in Legalism. Legalism is when the dynasty believes in the government and the dynasty has strict laws. The consequences of legalism were very dangerous and sometimes death. The Qin believed in legalism because he wanted power, and he thought legalism would give him that. Qin thought he would be the most aggressive dynasty their was with legalism.

Achievments Of The Qin Dynasty

The Qin Dynasty had many achievements. The Great Wall Of China was one of their greatest achievements. The Great Wall was finished in 206 B.C. The Qin Dynasty built irrigation to improve farming. They also standardized the language and writing of China. Though the Qin Dynasty had many great achievements, they only lasted for a short time.
