Principal's Message
Greetings Sunny Heights Families,
It was a short, but very productive week at Sunny Heights this week! Students have begun NWEA testing and will continue through next week. We are excited to see where are students are at so we can meet them there and help them ALL grow this year! The next few weeks will be very busy as we continue through the second half of our 1st quarter. A lot of important information regarding next week is in this week's newsletter, including information about changing student learning options, picture day, employment opportunities, and more!
As always, do not hesitate to reach out if you need anything.
Thank you for all that you do!
Your proud principal,
Bart Lewis

ALL STUDENTS - ATTENDANCE
For the 2020-2021 school year, Warren Township has transitioned to a new student information system called Synergy allowing our parents and caregivers to have improved access to school information through the parent portal called ParentVUE. We are aware that at this time some students’ attendance records are reflecting students are absent, when in fact they were present. This is mostly the case for our students who are attending school VIRTUALLY on application days or in the VIRTUAL opinion full-time. We want to assure you that teachers are keeping accurate attendance records and that we are working to correct attendance records for all our students.

All student vaccines must be on file and up to date by September 21, 2020 to avoid exclusion. Please make your school's nursing staff aware of any upcoming appointments for vaccines, or if there are any medical or religious objections to your student receiving his or her vaccines.
We would like to welcome our new school nurse, Amber Eyerman to Sunny Heights Elementary. We are very excited to have her join our Sunny Heights and Warren Team!
PLEASE inform your school's nurse of any chronic health conditions that the school should be made aware of, and that your student's medical emergency information is up to date.
