Extracting DNA from a tomato

- Liquid soap
- Ethyl Alcohol
- Pineapple juice
- A Tomato
- A pair of plastic glasses
- A plastic bag
- A strainer
- And a knife
First of all, we cut the tomato into pieces and we squash it until it became liquid (inside the bag)
Then, we add a spoon of salt and we close the bag
When everything is mixed, we start to strain the tomato with the aid of a strainer (to one of the glasses)
Once the tomato is filtered, we add a spoon of soap to the glass and we wait 7 minutes until the fibres get broken.
After the 7 minutes, we add the juice, that help us breaking membranes and extracting DNA. After mixing, we must stir carefully. Once this is mixed, we must add alcohol quite carefully by the sides of the glass (keeping the DNA save, without any strange movements)
Finally, we extract DNA mucoses with the aid of a stick and we put them into a vial filled up with alcohol
And that's all, we have already extracted DNA from a tomato!
