What Is a stagecoach?
A stagecoach is a type of covered wagon used to carry passengers and goods inside. It is pulled by four horses, It was used before the introduction of railroads. It made trips between stations, which were places to rest for stagecoach travelers.
Advantages and disadvantages~
Advantages:
- A high level of speed and security.
- Allowed to carry a lot of people
- Allowed to carry heavy loads of both passengers and cargo
- Better/faster then traveling on foot
Disadvantages:
- Dirty
- 54 hours to travel 300 miles
- 70-120 miles a day
- Uncomfortable
- crowded
How did the stagecoach impact ND?
It helped people get around North Dakota, also carried goods.
It brought people here and forming North Dakota
There was a stagecoach trail from St.Cloud,Minnesota to Bismarck

A stagecoach was a wagon like carriage pulled by horses or ox.
In the early times this was the only ways of getting anywhere.
Why was it important to settling the west?
It moved people around and brought people to and from forming new towns/cities
