Ms. Monaghan's Message - Nov. 20
Challenge, Inspire, Empower, & Serve
Important Upcoming Dates
Nov. 27: PTO Meeting and Panera Fundraiser
Nov. 28: 5th Grade Field Trip to BSSE
Many people played a role in making this night a special event, and I can't thank you enough. No one really understands how much work goes on behind the scenes at an event of this nature until you've spent an evening on your feet running around all night just to spend another several hours after the event (not to mention the next day) cleaning up. But even before that magical night, the year long process of soliciting donations, gathering supplies, and organizing everyone is something that takes tireless effort and sacrifice. To say it's an exhausting job would be putting it mildly!
So many people worked hard to pull this night together, and I want to express my deepest gratitude to each and every one.
Luther Solomon & Jared Williams for Smoking the Meat (which was all donated by a donor who asked not to be publicly thanked).
Lanita Weber who donated pork, picked up rolls donated by Roma and side dishes donated by Cascones, and coordinated the serving
Danny Matthys & Christian Gibbons (who both took a day off work to pick up items and set-up) for Beverages
Donna Curran & Mary Kay Lofland for putting together the Silent Auction
Danielle & Danny Motta for Volunteer Coordination
Jackie & Phil Brady for running the Big Board
Lisa Henak for Donating and Designing Decorations (Which were amazing!!) - and for taking a day off of work to help!
Dana Nolan for organizing School Big Board and helping with set up and clean up
Maureen & Joe Hershewe for Sponsorship Solicitation
Riki Carter for Design and PR
RJ Keitchen for Video and Slideshow Production
Aquin Vides, Luke Guettermann, Kerri Long, and Heather Phillips for helping with set up and working at the auction.
Mimi Bui for helping serve and clean up
All the Parish Office Volunteers, especially for Rosie, who spent months working on Correspondence and Mail.

Thankful, Grateful, & Blessed
St. Patrick School is a truly unique place to be. No matter how hard the day is, no matter how tired I am, no matter what stress I bring in with me from home, the minute my car pulls into the parking lot, this feeling of joy and peace overwhelms me. Standing outside on a bitter cold day, greeted by smiling little faces (or greeted by grunts from middle school kids), I am constantly reminded just how lucky I am to be a part of this community.
This Thanksgiving, I am grateful for so many things, but near the top of that list is my appreciation for each one of you and for each student in our building. St. Patrick has always been more like an extension of home than a job to me, and that remains to be true to this day. Each day is a blessing, and a reminder of how fortunate I am.
From my family to yours, we wish you a restful Thanksgiving filled with family, friends, and fun!
