One Foot in Front of the Other
Virtual Learning Days -- January 19, 20, 21
This quote seems timely, not only as we recognize Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., but as we continue to navigate this school year together. Just when we think things are going to settle down, allowing us to take baby steps back to “normal,” we are thrown additional stumbling blocks which get in our way. And yet -- We persist.
The decision to close our building this week was a weighty one. We all agree that children belong in school and the best teaching and learning occurs when students are in front of us. It is my hope that this temporary closure will interrupt the rising number of covid cases and allow us to get back on track as of January 25th. Mr. Lanza and I have profound trust not only in our teachers and staff but in our families. We will get through this together.
(And boy what a party we will have once it's over!)

RWJBarnabas Health Institute for Prevention & Recovery
RWJBarnabas Health Institute for Prevention and Recovery’s Hope and Healing Program
offers emotional support services, education and community-based resources for
individuals and families affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Through a variety of virtual services, this program aims to assist those impacted by the
pandemic to better adjust to their new reality, mitigate stress, review options, develop
coping strategies, and, if needed, find linkages to agencies, programs, and other
resources in their community.
I recently received THIS EMAIL with a list of upcoming programs available to our community.
