Congratulations to our Spelling Bee winners, Roderig Perez and Emma Scully!! We are so proud of all of our participants. You all did a fantastic job!

Lost and Found

We have spread out the lost & found in the hallway. Please encourage your child to claim any items that they may have lost. Feel Free to stop in and take a look if you are missing items. Please label your child's jackets and water bottles so that we can return them. All items left on December 20 will be donated to local charities.

Winter Music Concert

Join us for the Winter music concert, December 17th @ 6:30 at ESE in the cafeteria. The 2nd and 3rd year Strikers and Choir will be performing. It is sure to be a spectacular show.

Jingle Bell Fun Run

Put on your bells and wear your tennis shoes on Thursday, December 19. All classes will be participating in the Jingle Bell Fun Run during specials.

Winter Parties December 20

Winter Parties will be held on December 20

PK - 2 from 9:15 - 10:15 and 3-5 from 10:45 - 11:45

Our wonderful PTO will be providing everything needed for the parties. Please do not send in treat bags or gifts for students. Due to limited space we are asking that middle/high school students not attend parties and students are not allowed to attend siblings parties.

Please reply to the link below to RSVP. Those who RSVP and have had their drivers license scanned through the district's Raptor system since August 2019, will go to a Fast Pass line on the day of the party. You will show your ID then receive a pre-printed visitor tag.

Those who have not have their drivers license scanned and/or do not RSVP using the link, will wait in a longer line to have their ID scanned and receive their visitor's tag.

Anyone who comes to the party and is not listed on the student emergency contacts and/or does not have an ID, will not be allowed to attend.

The RSVP form will close on Thursday, December 19th, at 9:00 a.m.

Thank you for your assistance.

· Call the attendance line at 281-641-3103.

· Send in a note from home the day of their return.

· Send in a Doctor’s note for the date(s) of absence.

· Email the Registrar, Shannon Wild at Shannon.wild@humbleisd.net

Flu Information

The flu report from the county is reporting high levels of influenza-like-illness. You can help keep the students in our district well and ready to learn by keeping your child home for the following:

  • Temperature of 100 degrees or above. They should not return to school until fever free for 24 hours without the use of fever- reducing medication.
  • Vomiting and/or diarrhea the evening prior to school or the morning of school.
  • If your student has been diagnosed with Strep throat or pink eye, they need to stay home for 24 hours from the 1st dose of antibiotic and until any fever has subsided.
  • Cough drops are not allowed at school. If a cough is significant of course they need to be seen by a doctor and/or if we need to do cough medication here at school that is an option as well.

The following is from the CDC website. This is great information on everyday prevention and contamination of the flu.

Google Sign-In from Home

If your student has assignments in Google Classroom, needs access to their Google Drive or other programs located in MyHumble at home, please follow these directions to access their account. Students need to know their school username and password to login.

Box Tops for Education

Did you know that ESE earns 10 cents for each Box Top students turn in? Last year we earned over $2000 from Box Tops that went directly to the teachers to buy supplies for their classrooms. Box Tops are new and improved this year! You can still clip and send them in but Box Tops are now going digital! Simply scan your receipt using the new Box Tops app and it will find all the participating products that you bought and instantly add cash to ESE's earnings online! This year the whole school is working together to reach goals for popsicle parties!

Eagle Shout Out

Would you like to send a special Shout Out to your student or a staff member at ESE? Shout Outs can be purchased for $5 with all money going to the ESE technology department and will be featured on the Eagle Student News. Shout Outs are great for birthdays, thank you notes, good luck, special wishes, congratulations, etc… The news is recorded in advance so make sure to submit your Shout Out Form and money at least one week in advance to ensure that it will air on the correct date. Please contact Kasey Davis with any questions.

Visit the PTO website for Spirit Shop items, membership dues, party fund, volunteer opportunities and more!
