AP NEWS

From Patty:

Testing

Thank you all for being so diligent and consistent with completing your DAs this go around. Reminder if you run into any technical glitches please let Jo and Paula know. They are compiling notes to share with the folks in the tech department. For the part Bs (grades 3-5), since they are not part of the report card grade you may have the week when we come back to complete them as well. I know time quickly gets away from us all. These are a great tool for our students to practice their constructed responses and for us to look at the data, but may also be bumped down a little on your "to do" list if needed.

Discipline

As you all know, this coming week will be extra difficult for some of our students who thrive with predictability and routine. Also, as excited as we all are to be at home for two weeks, the reality is for some of our students the thoughts of extended periods of time at home are not happy. If you have someone who may need a little extra support and I can help with providing incentives, extra praise for a job well done, or even a break for them now and then please come see me so we can talk through some ideas.

From Erline:

Tutoring

I have many students being signed up for tutoring which is fantastic....but not so many tutors. Please consider after school tutoring. Thanks.

RTI/SST

Please remember to complete the SST referral and send to me PRIOR to the SST meeting. It helps keep the meeting moving forward quickly and allows me to participate more in the discussion. Thank you.

There are currently 145 students in the RTI process at this time at either Tier Two, Three or Four. Thank you for diligently keeping up with your data.

504 Meetings

Remember those letters I sent out earlier this year to students that have a health management plan? Round two will begin for those meetings after the holidays. Parents may have questions regarding them. Just remind them, they signed consent to evaluate based on their student's health management plan on file in the clinic. This is the purpose of that meeting.
