Track Has Strong Weekend At State Championships

The Boys and Girls Track program finished their season on a positive note over the weekend. The Vikings had 11 State Qualifiers that competed for a State Championship on Friday and Saturday. Congratulations to the following student-athletes on their great end to the track season at the State Track Meet!

Brooke Clemons Becomes First Howell Para Athlete State Medalist

This past weekend at the MSHSAA State Track Championships Howell's very own Brooke Clemons became the first Howell para-athlete to medal at State. Brooke finished 3rd in Shot Put and 2nd in the 100. Congratulations to Brooke on great weekend at State!

Girls Soccer Lands Five On All-Conference Team

It was another successful season for the girls soccer program as they won another conference championship and reached the District Championship game. Last week the GAC South All-Conference Team was announced and the Lady Vikings were well represented. Congratulations to the following All-Conference performers:

King & Steward Commit To Missouri Baptist University

Justin King and Kyle Steward became the 62nd and 63rd student-participants to commit to further their education and sport at the college level last week. The two Vikings committed to Missouri Baptist University to play volleyball. Congratulations to Justin and Kyle on great Howell careers and for their decision to further their education and sport at the college level!

Three Girls Lacrosse Players Tabbed All-Conference

The Girls Lacrosse program had the most successful season in program history and the Lady Vikings were recognized for their efforts by landing three players on the All-Conference Team. Congratulations to the following Lady Viking Lacrosse players:

Spring Sports Excel In The Classroom

It was a successful spring both in and out of sport for our Vikings. During the spring Howell had 394 students involved in a sport. The cumulative GPA for these Vikings during the 2nd semester was an impressive 3.47! Congratulations to all of our spring sports student-athletes and to the following spring programs on their team GPA's:

Ebert Selected For MAC All-Star Senior Soccer Game

Congratulations to Morgan Ebert on being selected to the 2018 Missouri Athletic Club All Star Senior Game on June 29th. The Howell senior will be furthering her education and soccer career at Northern Alabama University in the fall.

Fall Meet the Coaches Set For July 25th

The fall season "Meet the Coaches" has been set for July 25th. Eligibility paperwork turn in will begin at 5:15 p.m. in the high school commons with the meeting portion of the evening beginning at 6:00 p.m. All eligibility paperwork must be complete to be turned in. All students participating in a fall MSHSAA sponsored activity must have this completed prior to the first day on August 6th. It is recommended that all paperwork be turned in at the "Meet the Coaches" event on July 25th. To ensure participation on August 6th all fully complete paperwork must be turned in no later than August 2nd at noon. A link to all eligibility paperwork can be found below.

The summer, fall, winter, and spring dead periods for the 2018-19 school year have been released. The MSHSAA dates can be found below. We hope that this information helps all Vikings and their families coordinate and prepare for the summer and sports seasons ahead during the 18-19 school year.
