February Newsletter
Dear Parents and Students,
Thank you for all you do to support your student(s) and Loris Middle School. Read our newsletter below for important information and upcoming events. Remember, there is #powerinthepride!


Summer School/Retention
Students will be required to attend summer school if:
- they fail ELA OR Math
- they fail two or more classes
- they miss 11 or more days
Students will be retained (have to repeat the same grade) if:
- they are required to attend summer school but do not successfully complete it
- they fail 3 or more classes
Academics
Grading Reports
- 3rd interims will be available on February 20th.
- Quindew - Complete 2 quests per week with 75% or higher.
- iReady - Complete 2 lessons per week with 75% or higher and at least 45 minutes of time on task
Tutoring Dates for February
- Afterschool: 1, 7, 8, 15, 22, 28 (Bus transportation available)
- Morning - 7:20 - 8:00 - February 7, 14, 28 (Algebra 1 & Math 7 H)
Stay up to date on Grades
- Check PowerSchool regularly
- Check Google Classroom for missing work
- Contact teachers with specific questions
- Contact Ms. Robin at rbaczkowksi@horrycountyschools.net for PowerSchool log in help

Please make sure your child brings their device to school fully charged each day.
