Tired of making dinner? Want to support Eastview Boys’ Basketball? How about dinner at Jersey Mike’s on Wednesday, April 7th from 4:00-8:00pm at their Apple Valley location off of Cedar Ave? Order online, stop by and pick up an order to go, or feel free to eat in! Wear your Eastview gear – or, just let ‘em know you’re supporting the boys’ basketball team, and the proceeds to the team!

Students - Review Your Q4 Schedule in Infinite Campus
As we get ready to transition to our fourth and final quarter of this school year, please make sure students review their Q4 schedule in Infinite Campus. A student’s current enrollment in Hybrid or Digital Academy will continue as is through the remainder of the school year. If your student needs to request a change to their model (in person or digital) starting April 12th (first day of 4th quarter), please make a request here by Wednesday, April 7th. Changes will be considered on a space-available basis, as we do have to adhere to max classroom capacity guidelines. If the School Board approves a change to our learning model at their meeting on April 12th, we will provide further information about requesting changes at that time.
Boys Golf Flower Fundraiser
Boys Golf Team is selling flowers now through April 9th. Flowers will be personally delivered weekend of May 8/9th. Please support the boys golf team by buying your mom the perfect Mother’s Day gift of patio flowers! EVHS Wrestling Lawn and Garden Fertilizer Sale
The Eastview Wrestling team is currently selling lawn and garden fertilizer. Item #1 is Crab Grass Control (Spring) - $19, Item #2 is Weed & Feed ( Early Summer) - $18, Item #3 is Lawn Fertilizer (Late Summer / Fall) - $16, Item #4 is Garden Fertilizer - $15. Each bag covers 4-5000 Square Feet. Generally, the average size yard will take 2 bags per application. Please contact an Eastview Wrestler or Coach Kurt Habeck @ kurt.habeck@district196.org to place an order or receive more information. Orders due by April 5th. Products will be delivered to your home beginning April 10th.
MCA Exams - Grades 10, 11, and Biology Students
MCA Exams
April 14th, 2021 - Reading MCA – All 10th grade students
April 28th, 2021 - Math MCA – All 11th grade students
May 5th, 2021 - Science MCA – All students take a biology course this year
- Testing will start at 9:45. Transportation will be provided. Students are able to ride their regular bus route. Pick up times on Wednesdays are 2 hours later than regularly scheduled times. Students may also be dropped off at 9:30.
- Students will need to bring their school issued iPad fully charged and updated, a pair of wired headphones, and a number 2 pencil. Students may also bring a book to read after the test has finished.
- Lunch will be provided to take home.
- Students who have complete the MCA exam by 12:00 may either be picked up or they will be assigned to a study hall until busses leave at 1:40. Students who need additional time for their exam will have until 1:30 to complete the exam.
- Students who do not attend on the assigned Wednesday will be pulled out of class to complete the exam. If you have questions or concerns about this, please contact Jena Hitt (952-431-8992) or Suze Fulford (952-431-8915).

Free Meal Kits - Update
Beginning February 22, seven-day meal kits will only be available on Wednesdays at District 196 middle and high schools, and can be picked up from 10-11 a.m. or 4-5:30 p.m. Secondary students will receive meals while in school with additional take-home meal support for distance learning days and weekends. Please complete this HYBRID LEARNING TAKE-HOME MEAL form if you would like your student to have access to the additional meal supports. Meals at school and take-home meals are free through special funding from the U.S. Dept. of Agriculture.

NEW: Juniors - Important Next Steps After the ACT
Congratulations on taking the ACT on today! As you left the testing room, you should have received a sheet instructing you on the steps to create your MyACT account with your ACT student code. The instructions to create your MyACT account and non-test instructions on your handout are also found HERE.
All Juniors are encouraged to create their MyACT account within two days of testing to view scores quickly, send scores to colleges (optional), and complete an interest inventory (optional). If you do not create the account, you will still receive a paper score report mailed to your home but it is likely to come weeks after your scores are available to view online.
You may also find the MyACT instructions , video , and Taking the ACT booklet helpful.
As a reminder, your ACT student code is on the Non Test Instruction sheet you received on test day. If you did not get this sheet and need your ACT student code, please email Laura.Horton@district196.org. Please check your handout first for your ACT student code- thank you!

Please review important details about AP exam dates, paper vs. digital exams, etc. This information was also provided to you through Schoology. As you hear college application results and are applying to colleges, you are required to enter the status on your NAVIANCE account (accepted, denied, waitlisted, etc). This part of your senior ‘to dos’ as we work toward graduation.
Go to Naviance → Colleges I am Applying To → Edit → Check ‘I have submitted my Application’ and add your Results
Please be sure to keep your ‘Colleges I'm Applying To’ information as accurate and updated as possible! If you decide not to apply to a particular college, please remove it from your ‘Colleges I Am Applying To’ list.

This revue of songs and vignettes, based on the beloved Charles Schulz comic strip, warms the heart and reminds us that—during these difficult times—happiness is found in the simple things. Musical numbers include "My Blanket and Me," "The Kite," "The Baseball Game," "Little Known Facts," "Suppertime," and "Happiness." Guaranteed to please audiences of all ages!

Join Intramural Golf
IM Golf Season has received the go-ahead for the year! As of now, our plan is to golf on Tuesdays and Thursdays starting on April 20th and ending on May 4th. We will use May 6th as a makeup day. We will golf at Rich Valley Golf Course in Rosemount starting at 3:15 PM and ending at 5:30 PM. Students are responsible for transportation to and from the course. Please see Mr. Frost if you have questions on the season. Cost is $100.00 for the season. Sign up on MyPaymentsPlus. We will need at least 12 kids to have a season, so bring friends! There will be an informational meeting on Monday, April 5th in B123 right after school at 1:45. If you cannot make it, please email todd.frost@district196.org.
German Book Club
Guten Tag! Did you know that Eastview has a partner school in Darmstadt, Germany? That’s right! We are starting a book club between our two schools called Book Bridge and we would like to invite you to participate. Get to know students from another country, discuss interesting books, and have fun! Our first book we will be reading is Black Rabbit Summer by Kevin Brooks. Contact Herr Sebald at steve.sebald@district196.org with questions and the Padlet link to connect with students in Germany. We will hold monthly meetings with the next meeting taking place at the end of April.
Interested in Spanish Club?
Spanish club is open to all students who are interested in exploring and celebrating the cultures of Spanish-speaking countries. We plan hands-on activities such as scavenger hunts, board games, crafts such as piñata-making, cooking and food sampling, dance and movies. Join our Schoology group with the code BZ97F-ZH7TG for updates and information.
During our next meeting, we will explore “juegos” – games! Plan to meet after school on the Monday or Tuesday after spring break, April 5 or 6 in B326 or via zoom using the link in the Schoology group. We’ll start the meeting at 1:50. Stay as long as you like!
For those of you who join in person, we will have cookies from a Mexican bakery available for $1.
Interested in Eastview Colorguard?
The Eastview Marching Band is holding FREE COLORGUARD introductory classes on April 5, 12, 19, 26, May 3 and 10 from 6:00-7:30 in the Eastview Bandroom. Each class is different, but you do not need to attend every one. Just try and make it to as many as you can!
All students are invited and welcome to try this incredible opportunity. NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY. Please wear comfortable clothes to move in and a face mask.
