Patriot Day - September 11th
September 11th is officially Patriot Day. It is a national day of service and remembrance in honor of the lives lost on September 11th, 2001. On this day, nearly 3,000 individuals died in separate attacks on the World Trade Center, The Pentagon, and Flight 93 which crashed in Pennsylvania
All Americans are encouraged to participate in service and remembrance activities on the anniversary of 9/11. This is a productive and respectful way to honor those who perished, and rekindle the spirit of unity and compassion that swept our nation after 9/11 to help meet the challenges we face today.
