Poetry Playoffs in Sweet 16!

College basketball might have March Madness, but it really doesn't compare to the Poetry Playoffs here at Warwick. Each day Mrs. Kehan sends out the day's contenders and classes vote to see who advances. It's awesome! Thirty-two poems going head to head each day, all across our school, in every grade, battling it out for victory. Which poem has been your child's favorite? Who do you think will win?

Spotlight on Students

In December 2014, the National Constitution Center launched the Founding Freedoms Essay and Playwriting Contest. This contest was designed to increase awareness of the rights set forth in the U.S. Constitution, Bill of Rights, and Declaration of Independence, all while engaging students to think creatively about our nation's great history.

The contest was open to students in 6th, 8th, and 12th grade in the tri-state area in public, private, and parochial schools. Students were given a grade specific prompt as well as essay guidelines to follow.

Two of Warwick’s sixth grade students, Grace M and Anthony D, entered the essay contest. We are thrilled to announce that both Grace and Anthony tied for second place in the 6th grade division. We could not be more proud of these students who decided to take a risk and challenge themselves. Please join us in congratulating Grace and Anthony on this outstanding accomplishment!

PSSA Timing: Please note.

All testing sessions occur in the morning.
