7 Habits at Home: Habit 4 - Think Win-Win: An Abundance Mentality
We create win-win situations in seeing the world and acting out of an abundance mentality. This approach comes from thinking there is “enough” for everyone (enough success, opportunity, kindness, etc.). Viewing the world in this way creates mindsets to ensure that everyone can win without taking away from others. Kindness is always in abundance and is simple to give. We all have emotional bank accounts that we draw from daily to interact positively with the world around us. Keeping our mindset to “win-win” fills our emotional bank accounts, and in turn, fills others.
Great Books to Read with Your Family:

Nurse Notes
Dear Lone Star Families,
We are all in the process of the weirdest holiday season ever. As the good news that The Vaccine Calvary is coming, we hope this will become a memory we can leave behind and return to only in conversations of our pandemic experience.
Thank you once again parents for communicating to us all symptoms/exposures Covid. It is a huge help as we continue masking, hand hygiene, sanitizing, and social distancing. There is a link on the clinic web page to a school nurse YouTube video of an analogy of the virus mitigation strategies we are using to slices of Swiss cheese. It is clever and gives a simple visual demonstration to all our efforts. Please check it out!
Mrs. Johnson and I are planning to start Texas Department of State Health Services required scoliosis screening for 10 yr old girls next week. Girls are screened at age 10 and 12 and boys at ages 13 and 14 in Texas. We sent home parent notes any 4th or 5th grade girls on the list just before Thanksgiving break . Please call next week if you have any questions. There is a link on LSE clinic web site to TX DSHS scoliosis requirements.
Also, below is MISD Covid tracker link.
Please email or call next week for any questions or concerns
