Principal's Message
Thank you to:
Thank you to Christina Lannin and Pam Dunphy for organizing the GARDEN party on Saturday for our school. We were pleased so many families could join us for some fall fun!
Another thank you to our staff members, Bri Lolar and Ginny Everett for organizing the Run Hard, Be Happy Fun Run and 5K. This fall date was a change from last year and we were pleased with the participation and beautiful weather. Thank you to all the other staff members helping with various race day jobs! What a great community we have at OTES.
Traffic Report: We have tried to help with the traffic issues in the morning by placing some visual reminders about NOT PASSING cars by going into the left lane (exit lane for cars). We know it's difficult to move in and out of our school drop off lanes, but safety and patience is expected from all staff and parents.
School Lunch Money: We do collect school breakfast/lunch money here at OTES on a daily basis if you want to send in cash or check (rsu 34 school department) with your child. Please make sure the money is an enveloped mark with your child's name, the teacher's name and grade level or visit the myschoolbucks, com site and create an account to add money to your child's lunch/breakfast account. There is a $1.95 transactional fee using this program.
K-Kids:
The K-Kids for grades 3-5 will be starting up again at OTES. We will be meeting on Thursday Mornings on the stage in the cafeteria from 7:15 to 8:00 am each week. Last year we had to alter the meeting schedule to accommodate all our participants at the beginning of the year. We will see how many students sign up for the K-Kids program to support our school and community. Permission slips were sent home this week and are due back on September 26th. Our first meeting will be October 4th!
RIVERFEST: We are looking for some more support at our RIVERFEST concession stand. Please visit the link to sign up.
Ice Cream Social October 10th at 12:00 pm at OTES: Here's the link to volunteer and help: https://signup.com/go/shoeuzq
