Dual Credit/Enrollment Courses
Dallas County Community College District (DCCCD)/UT OnRamps
DCCCD Dual Credit Registration
First time dual credit student:
1. Stop by and see your counselor to pick up your intent to enroll form.
2. Return the completed intent to enroll form to your counselor.
3. Pick up a registration packet to enroll as a student at DCCCD from your counselor.
4. Return you completed DCCCD registration packet to your College and Career Coordinator or your counselor by April 9, at 4:00 pm.
5. If you are sophomore and have never taken the Texas Success Initiative (TSI) test, you will take it at your RISD home campus on April 18. Your scores will be reported to DCCCD to see if you are eligible to take college courses.
6. If you are a junior and have never taken the TSI or you have taken the TSI and did not have passing scores, visit with your counselor about how to sign up to test at Richland Community College.
Returning student to dual credit courses:
1. Pick up course registration paperwork from your counselor.
2. Return your course registration paperwork to your College and Career Coordinator or your counselors no later than April 9 at 4:00 pm.
Dual Credit Courses at the High School Campus or at a DCCCD Campus
Possible courses for your RISD home campus:
RISD 1017D English 4 Literature/ DCCCD Dual Credit English Literature 2332 and 2333: Students are eligible for this course if they are enrolled as a DCCCD student and have successful earned credits in dual credit language 1301 and 1302 during their junior year or at a DCCCD campus prior to taking the 2332 and 2333 literature courses. Eligible for 6 hours of college credit.
RISD 1017D English 4 Language/ DCCCD Dual Credit Language 1301 and 1302: Students are eligible to take this course if they will be a RISD senior in 2018-2019, enrolled as a DCCCD student, and met TSI passing standards. Eligible for 6 hours of college credit.
RISD 1014D English 3 Language/ DCCCD Dual Credit Language 1301 and 1302: Students are eligible to take this course if they will be a RISD junior in 2018-2019, enrolled as a DCCCD student, and met TSI passing standards. Eligible for 6 hours of college credit.
RISD 2007D Government/ DCCCD Dual Credit 2305: Students are eligible to take this course if they are enrolled as a RISD student, enrolled as a DCCCD student and met TSI passing standards. Eligible for 3 hours of college credit.
RISD 2010D Economics/ DCCCD Dual Credit 2301: Students are eligible to take this course if they are enrolled as a RISD student, enrolled as a DCCCD student and met TSI passing standards. Eligible for 3 hours of college credit.

UT OnRamps Dual Enrollment Course Registration
Students and parents interested in taking OnRamps courses through The University of Texas at Austin during the 2018-2019 school year, please complete the steps below.
1. OnRamps courses are available during the school day at your RISD home campus.
2. Pick the courses you would like to take on your RISD course selection card and return your completed card to your counselor.
3. Courses are open enrollment and do not require a minimum TSI test score.4. Registration to become a UT student will happen the first few days of your course in the fall of 2018.
OnRamps Courses at the High School Campus
These are the OnRamps courses that could possibly be available at RISD high schools in 2018-2019.
U3035 Discovery Pre-Calculus: Course is available to students who have not taken and earned credits in 3005 Pre-Calculus or 3026 Pre-AP Pre-Calculus courses. Eligible for 3 hours of college credit.
U3028 Statistics: Course is available to all students who have completed 3013 Algebra II or 3014 Pre-AP Algebra II. Eligible for 3 hours of college credit.
U3013 College Algebra: This course directly aligns to Algebra II and is available to students who have not taken and earned credits in 3013 Algebra II and 3014 Pre-AP Algebra II. Eligible for 3 hours of college credit.
U7808 Thriving in a Digital World (Computer Science): Course is available to students who have not taken and earned credits in RISD 7805 AP Computer Science or 7809 Computer Science 2. Eligible for 3 hours of college credit.
U4032 Introduction to GeoScience: Course is available to students who have not taken and earned a credit in 4032 Earth and Space Science. Eligible for 3 hours of college credit.
U4008 Chemistry: Course is available to students who have not taken and earned a credit in 4008 Chemistry. Eligible for 4 hours of college credit.
U4010 Mechanics, Heat, and Sound (Physics): Course is available to students who have not taken and earned a credit in 4010 Physics. Eligible for 3 hours of college credit.
U2003 US History: Course is available to students who have not taken and earned a credit in 2003 US History. Students will be required to take the EOC for US History upon conclusion of this course. Eligible for 6 hours of college credit.
U7819 Foundations of Arts and Entertainment Technology: Course is available to students who have taken and earned credits in Introductory Computer Science and Fine Arts.
